Plant-derived natural compounds as promising anticancer agents in hematological malignancies

چکیده
The latest treatments have improved outcomes for patients with hematological malignancies, but relapse, treatment resistance and particularly side effects still remain as common limitations of these treatments. Given the disadvantages existing conventional therapeutic methods, developing more effective drugs less toxicity is paramount importance. Medicinal herbs historically proven their worth a pool potential agents leukemia lymphoma, today they represent rich source recognition new drug leads. role positive synergistic plant-derived natural products chemotherapeutic also considered one rational reasons paying attention to medicinal plants in recent chemoprevention investigations. Noteworthy, targeted delivery via incorporation nanoparticles or antibodies would be major step improve bioavailability then increase effects. In this study, we reviewed approved and/or under investigation malignancies.

Nitric oxide donor hybrid compounds as promising anticancer agents.
Nitric oxide (NO) plays important roles in cardiovascular regulation, nerve transmission delivery and immune responses. In the last semicenturry, it has been proved that though low concentration of NO is tumor-promoting, high concentration of NO could exhibit multiple antitumor effects, which led to the research and development of kinds of NO donors and NO donor hybrid compounds as antitumor ag...
متن کاملNatural Compounds as Anticancer Agents Targeting DNA Topoisomerases
DNA topoisomerases are important cellular enzymes found in almost all types of living cells (eukaryotic and prokaryotic). These enzymes are essential for various DNA metabolic processes e.g. replication, transcription, recombination, chromosomal decatenation etc. These enzymes are important molecular drug targets and inhibitors of these enzymes are widely used as effective anticancer and antiba...

متن کاملFlavonoids: promising anticancer agents.
Flavonoids are polyphenolic compounds that are ubiquitously in plants. They have been shown to possess a variety of biological activities at nontoxic concentrations in organisms. The role of dietary flavonoids in cancer prevention is widely discussed. Compelling data from laboratory studies, epidemiological investigations, and human clinical trials indicate that flavonoids have important effect...
متن کاملMarine Mollusk‐Derived Agents with Antiproliferative Activity as Promising Anticancer Agents to Overcome Chemotherapy Resistance
The chemical investigation of marine mollusks has led to the isolation of a wide variety of bioactive metabolites, which evolved in marine organisms as favorable adaptations to survive in different environments. Most of them are derived from food sources, but they can be also biosynthesized de novo by the mollusks themselves, or produced by symbionts. Consequently, the isolated compounds cannot...
